I am not speaking for BBB, but his dune bike was built for Baja with gusseting all around and a trick heim-jointed sub-frame, which is where the problem occured. The heim-joint itself caused an intermitent dielectric open on the subframe, which never showed up until he tried to ground the nitrous fuel pump to the subframe. Once he figured this out, all was well, until 1 minute before race time. The bike acted like it was on the reverse rev limiter and it turns out that the ground for that was on the above mentioned subframe. It never happened before, but that ground didn't find home until after the class was over..........sad indeed. Oh well, that is racing.

But oh well. The dune on spray is abit faster than the dew so I now have two really fun bikes.

so your dune bike with NOS didnt race because it wasnt ready in time???

I have no excuse for the issue or the timing of the issue, I just thought it would have been nice for hpr to return the favor of waiting the 60seconds it took to fix it or at least give me a for fun run after the fact.

The reason I was bent was because the run was setup to be 2 out 3. HPR had only run once before I was ready. They should have been forced to run me at least once to get their 2 wins. Faster I think your right problem is they shouldnt of had a choice!

There was a million situations like yours BBB, one happened to us.
Its part of the race.
I am very satisfied to be able to be part of it, and even be on the same hill.
As far as considering the RMD bikes as part of KBR, well that might be a stretch, we are partners, they tuned at my shop on my dyno, and ran some of my parts. We work together and really appreciate that we were able to help where we could.
One thing thats for certain....
Home built engines in our camp (KBR, RMD, Krptonite Racing, and Tuners Edge) from little ol' hick town Utah and Idaho took home some iron!

King,

Do you have official (or unoffical) MPH radared for the finals? I would like to know what each of the winners and runner-ups were running up the hill by class.
